Occupational Audiometry Surveillance Refresher course

1 day – £375 per person

Suitable for occupational health workers and occupational health nurses who carry out audiometry in the industry setting. This 1 day refresher training course will remind delegates to principles of hearing conservation in the workplace, provide an overview of the Control of Noise at Work Regulations and any changes since they last attended a course, refresh delegates knowledge of how to competently and safely carry out surveillance audiometric testing.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

Demonstrate an understanding of the requirements of the Control of Noise at Work Regulations 2005
Reminder of the effects of noise on the hearing mechanism
Demonstrate understand and explain the needs for questionnaire prior to audiometric testing
Demonstrate the ability to explain appropriate audiometric testing process to clients, ensuring their understanding
Demonstrate the ability to perform industrial audiometric testing
Understand the principles of a good record keeping in regards to surveillance audiometry
